What are these worth? I've been told that they're garbage and I've been told that they're very desired. Don't know what to make of it.

Putting one up for sale and have no clue what to ask and don't want to come off as trying to rip people off. Ebay doesn't have any auctions with one (current or completed)

Honestly it depends on if anyone else is looking. I've bought two complete sets and two singles (just the ratchet) in both 1/2" and 3/8" drive, prices always varied. Nobody else was selling, but I wanted, so what can you do but pony up the cash? Like you said, you'll probably be the only person selling one.

For a ratchet by itself, I think the $20-$30 range is a reasonable expectation. If it were cleaned up or NOS and you happened to have it up when a collector was looking, you might get more, but that's unlikely in the short term.:dunno:

I'm biased, obviously, but you might want to consider keeping it. It's fairly unique and actually a pretty strong and reliable ratchet.

You know, I'm going to call SK and see if they have rebuild kits, if they do I might just keep it.

I bought one of those many years ago at the now-defunct TRAK AUTO in Maryland.
I HATED it.....coarse as hell (what 12 teeth??).
Plus, the side knobs would always take an unexpected bump and change direction.
