That term is definitely a cheap import thing. I've seen a lot of imports that say Angle Wrench, but not SK that's for sure.

Ok, the reason I am asking is it doesnt close fully, so I was gonna send it in to get it warranted. I didn't want to make a fool of myself though! The logo looks a little off to me and I kept finding references to a japanese sk which caused me to doubt it's authenticity.

My gramps had a no name import (Japan) wrench with the same "drop forged jaw" .
Angle wrench was also used a long time ago .
Pexto put it on their Crescent style wrenches and they were made in their plant in Ct.

That is a legit sk logo it's an older logo among thier first I'd send it in with no hesitation.

Yeah, the logo says SK, but...doesn't the wrench look kinda cheap? That is, not real S-K quality? My vote goes for Not Genuine. And OP, you HAVE to tell us the thrilling conclusion of this adventure.

SK has always sold adjustable wrenches but the one above has nothing to do with SK Tools company we all know as they never have sold jap stuff only USA made or France back in the Facom days. The wrench above is just another jap import from the late sixes through early eights before Taiwan and the china thing started.

This reminds me of the guy who found a socket set made by S&K overseas about a year ago and asked if it was real. As far as I know, SK has always been a USA made company, with a period of French (Facom) ownership. No Japanese.

Cool guys! That's what I needed to know. I think I'll just toss it!
now just wait a minute. i don't think anyone said to toss it. it may be a very usable tool. if it does not fully close it could just be dirty or have been used as a hammer. a little filing or grinding may fix it. unless bending sheet steel i doubt it needs to fully close for most jobs.
Weren't there some Taiwan ratcheting wrenches during the 2000s? I remember reading here that SK will offer a partial refund for warranty claims because they no longer offer that style.

I don't believe that SK is related to SK USA. There was a smaller brand in Japan that used SK as its initials. If you don't want it send it my way.

Yes there were. Don't know what S-K does regarding warranty for them.
I had two of them strip out and my indie tool truck guy warrantied them out for the platinum equivalents. I think platinum took them back even though they said SK.. either that or his tool warehouse did the exchange.
My 21-22 SK g-pro wrench is long gone.. It stripped out and I gave it to my old MAC guy who also dealt with SK.. At the time SK had gone out of business and he told me hed hang onto it until they went back into production.. That was 6 years ago haha
