No info but I think they messed up by not including deep wells

That's actually a big part of the appeal for me. It's a very compact set and adding deep wells to it would take up more space.

I was unaware they were making these again, I'll have to grab a set.

ETA: My Google-Fu is weak. Anyone got a link to these for sale?

Check the 2016 HJE day thread. They had those for sale a few months back and a bunch of us got them. Extremely nice socket sets.

Sparkle sparkle!

Too bad I missed that I would have picked up the large metric and sae sets. I wonder if they will offer them again or if it is a old flyer.

I was at Epstein's about 4 weeks ago and they had some of these. Call or Email and ask if they have any. I bet they do.

Back when SK first offered these to GJ members on HJE Day, they said that they were going to make 100 of each set. If you look closely at the flyer that was posted, it says that these are Limited Editions. I'm guessing that these offerings are what's left of the inventory after GJ members got first looks.

These are nice sets, but I'm still partial to my classic originals. Love that green metal box.

They weren't made just made for us exactly... We got them early, and they were only going to offer up to 100 of each set for that early deal. This actual run of them will include a lot more than just the leftovers

I agree that they should've had a set to include deep sockets. I noticed the advertisement says new extended socket size. Does that mean they're slightly deeper than their previous standards? Anyone know anything about that part?

Agree. I have a set of 3/8 dr sae deep 6 pts in the hammertone, and my dad has the same except his are impact. I also have an almost NOS SK Dresser 1/4-3/8 set with original cardboard box. And a nice SK Wayne 1/4 set all in green hammertone. Although those new ones are ****.

The sockets are the same length and broach as they've always been. I think the extended socket size refers to the metric set going up to 24mm when most sets stop at 19mm and the SAE set going to 1 inch. :dunno:

I have the 3/8 & 1/2 drive socket sets in the old style metal boxes I purchased when I was 15 years old. My neighbor across the street at the time sold Mac and SK.
