Sk more expensive than snap on

Needing some 3/4 tools, I wanted to look for a brand I know is high quality. Refusing to pay the insane tool truck prices I thought of sk. I was shocked to see that their prices are actually MORE expensive than snap on. What the hell. Granted the sk set has a few more sockets than the snap on so I'll give them that but still if I'm gonna pay that money I'm gonna get the truck service.

Sorry I just realized my snap on website pictures were blurry so the 3/4 set is 1275, and the torque wrench is 809

Where were you pricing the SK stuff at, Graingers?? Why don't you just go with Williams or GP? My Williams set is complete from 7/8 - 3-1/4 and I didn't spend anywhere near those kinds of prices.

I ebayed most of my 3/4 stuff. Proto 24 tooth 20 inch ratchet about $60. A wright 45 tooth 24 inch ratchet for about $70. The sockets were various prices. 3/4 sockets inexpensive on eBay.

Well I'll be damned. I genuinely assumed that that's what sk sold for. Makes sense not to compete with distributors. Honestly I'm happy to be proven wrong

He's looking at the corporate website, where the price is higher than anywhere else you can find so they don't undercut/compete with their distributors. Just put the part numbers into google and you will be able to find prices much cheaper than that.

Called this happening 6 months ago too...

Hey at least their website is easy to use. Has anyone ever attempted to find a tool on snap one website it's awful

I too, miss the older version of the SnapOn website.

As for 3/4", buy a couple cheap sets or used, replace the pieces that break as time goes on. You'll be money ahead.

SK isn't in business to sell direct to individuals.

It's easier to go to the digital catalog and click on the part number. When you click on the part number, it takes you straight to the store page for the tool.
