SK Order

I thought I recall something about SK being sold? If so, I am really disappointed - love their tools. I recently (well, maybe not so recently now) placed an order on their website, paid and expected shipping notification a few days later.
In reality - nothing. I contacted them, and haven't heard back. It's just been a void.

Are they really that backed up on orders? I know Covid did a number on supply chains.
Did they get sold/bought out?
Did my money I spent go '****'?

Ideal Industries sold SK to Hangzhou Great Star. I imagine things are pretty chaotic there. I would try to call them directly. 800-U-CALL-SK

If you are lucky, you will get a confirmation the same day your order shows up at your door. I have orders I received a year ago that still say pending. They are understaffed to begin with and the last Steals and Deals overwhelmed them. Your order will show up, Just be patient.

I ordered a couple ratchets in June. Took just over a month before they shipped. I did get an email with a tracking number once they shipped.

Exactly. I have yet to get a shipping notification from them that arrives in my inbox before the tools arrive on my doorstep.

Change is inevitable with new owners. I don't think SK was really doing great before the sale

I haven’t ordered anything but I did file for warranty for three sockets. They just emailed me back on Thursday after a month and said they were happy to send me replacements. It took them the same amount of time last time too. I get nervous on the phone so I don’t call people so I would not have called but I would of gotten someone else to do it probably.

Try messaging them on Facebook. That's the only way I've been able to contact them lately.

I think they are done to like one person doing all customer service. Messaging them on FB did get one of my last orders shipped. Still waiting on some hammers ordered in, like, April.

SK is going to be down for the count until they resurface in PA. They've got very few people working for them at the moment. I think one person is doing all of their customer service.... so hundreds of angry people are just wailing on this poor person. Mostly because SK oversold on a big sale that they had. Half the internet is up in arms over stuff they paid pennies on the dollar for.

SK is struggling to make good on orders or refund on what they can't fulfill. Since Ideal shut down Western Forge, SK's manufacturing capability is pretty much zero for the time being.

For giggles, I ordered a new 3/8" round head ratchet two weeks ago for sentimental reasons (big SK fan), and it showed up in 10 days. Not quite the two day turnaround that I was used to seeing a year ago, but pleased none the less.

I have gotten some good contact from customer service in the last two weeks to resolve a couple orders from 3 months ago. They're at least trying to catch up. They've mostly made me whole, so I'm fairly cheerful when I correspond with them. You can read between the lines that things are not fun at the moment.

Same thing here. I thought it was because my order was only for 1 replacement socket that I lost and wasn't a big enough order for them to send out shipping confirmation.

I Wouldn't bother. It sounds like screwdrivers are being discontinued, at least for the time being. The way I understand it, anything that wasn't produced in house by SK won't be an option when the stock is gone.

Coming soon means out of stock. If it's actually something made by SK, they will have it eventually, but if you need it sooner than later you may want to try elsewhere. SK's website "normal" prices **** anyway. I have spent about $600 from the site, but everything was during a couple of steals and deals.

Have you tried Grainger? They carry a lot of SK stuff.
