SK Screwdriver Questions

I have both the translucent green/white and the opaque green-handled SK screwdrivers and was wondering which was the older of the two. Hard to tell from looking at ebay ads and AA was no help and I don't have any SK catalogs. They also have some black/yellow ones, but have come up empty on those. Any help on the time line for these tools would be a big help!!

Also, did SK EVER make a wood handled screwdriver?

My guess is that if any of them had SK Wayne on them, they'd be in the '62-'69 vintage(like the sockets and wrenches), right???

I have a set of the green-white handled screwdrivers. Actually have both types. The green-white are the oldest dating to around the late 1960s to when Facom started making them in the late 1980s or so. See attached older ones that I like the best, but that's just me.

solid green handles would be newer than the translucent green/white style. the black and yellow were a short lived cheaper line. only available a couple years and i would guess vermont american made . epstein's may have a few available yet.

Thanks gentlemen. So if I understand correctly, the solid green handles were made by Facom, so they shouldn't exactly be junk then.

no, they are fine drivers. i have quite a few and the only issue was with the one my dad used as a pry bar and the tip snapped off. i fortunately found a match for it. the new sk screwdrivers look similar but the handle is more square, large and not tapered and not as ergonomicly nice as the older facom made drivers.
