I keep trying to get my august SK Socket of the Month. Applying the code is not working. Are any of you having this problem and have you found a fix? Thanks.

Worked for me. The one time I had a problem I was cut and pasting a period at the end.

Same here, it worked and they notified me it got shipped today. This is my last and didn't renew. Been a member since 2015 but had a change of heart after SK got sold to the chinese.

Just ordered mine last night and it worked. Watching the news now and they had a tornado in Sycamore Illinois yesterday.

Why? It only hurts that American employee working on the shop floor. So they are owned by a non-American, does that mean no more SK tools, even if they are still US made with American sourced steel? Not the SK-workers fault they were sold, but you seem to be blaming them.......

Why??? The owners might move manufacturing to China that's why. I'm taking a wait and see approach and will renew if Great Star keeps manufacturing in the US.

that is exactly what will kill sk.

guys like you will refuse to do business with them. sales will go down and then you will be pissed when they are not able to make ends meet and are forced to close or move mfg. elsewhere.

rather than basing your decision on what is happening (which is sk making us made tools) you base it on what might happen which could be any number of things. which none of us know of. to be truthful. one of the best things they could do is bring back some of the imported items they used to have in the lineup. the g pro wrenches and ratcheting screwdrivers were great parts of the lineup.

No I won't be pissed and won't care if they get shutdown. My go to is and will always be Snap-on.

That is the problem. Because you think THEY MIGHT.......So if others do the same and stop buying from SK because they think production MIGHT move to china and sales drops, they will find it is no longer profitable (lower sales) to keep production in the States and move to china. Then that puts yourself and others who changed buying their habits based on an assumption as the reason SK would/did go to china.

Just curious, do you actually buy anything, even non-tool items? I ask because any product being made currently in the States can be, or might be moved to china in the future. Computers and TV aren't made in the States anymore, but were in the beginning, so how do you handle that? Or even your beloved snap-on, why do you buy their stuff when they too have sent items to be made overseas?

14 posts and finally somebody mentioned Snap On you guys are slipping. Got a Proto hammer today that was advertised as made in USA. Had a big made in Taiwan label on it. That **** is getting returned. Was the same Price as the East Wing should’ve just gotten that one. Can’t always buy American but I try too. Have not received my order for the socket of the month yet usually within 2 to 3 days. Still waiting on some stuff from the last steals and deals.

you make no sense. you pipe in an sk thread saying that you will no longer support them even though you were a socket of the month club member and have obviously made other sk purchases as if you were a big sk supporter. then after being called out about you stance you claim that snap-on is your go to and always will be. i wonder which it is. everybody can have an opinion i guess but i don't put much stock in someone who contradicts themselves on the same page.

I signed up for socket of the month. Almost a week and no welcome email. I did place an order with the code listed here for the free socket and that still shows as pending.

August socket of month took forever to get to me. September socket here in 10 days. Both codes took multiple tries to get them to work. Still really enjoying the club. First year I’ve done it and putting toga nice metric deep 3/8” drive set. Totally worth the $50 per year.
