What about craftsman? I have a st in 3/8 and 1/2 and they are great. Same sockets as matco and Armstrong painless design.

I have a snap on mg325 3/8 impact. I like it and it seems to get the job done. However, a co worker of mine has a cornwell blue power impact that is rated for almost 200 more ft/lbs and cost him about half as much. its a lot quieter also and has a better warranty if I remember correctly.

I have some sk impact swivels. I prefer them to my matco and snap on ones actually. definitely pro quality. Warranty is kinda of a hassle but ive only had one go so far.

I have snap on and sunex swivel impact sockets. they are both great, for the price sunex or grey pneumatic can not be beat. i got deep and shallow sets for just under 100 bucks a set on the net. compared to 300 bucks for one set off snap on. The sunex sockets are little smaller arround so you can get them in places were snap on cant get. Also if you are looking for deeps sunex are the deepest set ive seen. my snap on deeps are more of a medium deep. As far as 3/8 impact i would go with ether blue cat from cornwell, Timax ingersol, or Nitro cat. I got the IR for 100 bucks used on ebay. Could not have been happier.

I have Cman and Armstrong Pinless. Their is no other option IMO. Worth every penny even if you choose to pay Matco prices.

Any ir impact or ir rebranded (matco, mac). I have the ir titanium, very good. If weight is not a issue, one of the best impacts I've ever had was/is a Mac aw434. These can be had very cheaply on Ebay.

My boss has been using SK swivel sockets professionally for 17+ years. When he was started back at a land fill working only on Cat D6's. His set goes from 3/8" to 1 5/16". I am actually really jealous of his set. To replace a 1/2" drive set of that size would be hundreds of dollars. I have a Snapon MG325 I like it my next will be an IR

I have never used the SK version but have nothing but good things to say about Grey Pneumatics. Its a helluva price and they have held up great so far.

I'm also a pretty big IR fan but will concede to the MG325 when it comes to a 3/8 gun. Those things are freakin awesome.

i have a set of sk deep swivels from 3/8 - 3/4. they are one of my best investments ever. i also have 3/8 drive standard and deep sockets in sae and metric shallow sockets. i would buy them again as well. i have 3/8 shallow snap-on swivels in standard and metric. they are not any worse but they are definitely not any better.

I have the SK swivel set. They are great for the price. My 15mm has some pin wear and I know that one will be the first to be warrantied. They are still a great value. I have both the shallow metric and standard.

Save some money and get the IR 2115. It is a killer impact. I have broken 2 SO sockets in the last 2 months that I have had for 15 years. I don't think I would want a stronger impact in 3/8. The 3/8 drive is only designed for so much torque.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to buy the some sk deep swivels on line. I bought a 3/8s matco impact off the truck today, just because im in a bind and i really need one lol. If i had time to wait and money i would have bought an ingersol rand.
