Someone posted a thread about Channel Lock giving out great swag and being a great company so I thought I'd mention this too. I was hesitant to do this at first because I fear them getting inundated with phone calls and emails asking for the same, but what the hell... Please be responsible with this information, lol.

A lot of us know that SK gives out some great stickers when asked (check out the sticker box thread!) but the other day I was flipping through their catalog and noticed that in the back they have embossed SK logos like you'd have on a toolbox (3D, injection molded plastic, chromed logos). They also have tool drawer identifier magnets. I had been kicking around the idea of getting magnets like this since I just moved into a new box and am still getting "acquainted". I just thought the embossed logos would be fun. So I googled the SK part numbers and got no good returns. I then went to SK's site and searched the part numbers and still got nothing. I dropped SK an email to ask if they could point me to a supplier that might stock these and they quickly replied that they'd just send me some of both, no charge! :eyecrazy:

Gotta love great customer service!

Indeed. It seems to be a dying thing these days. Just getting a reply to an e-mail is an achievement most of the time, (shonky response to queries is one of my personal bugbears with businesses these days), but that's going that extra little mile, (can a mile actually be termed little, with it being a specifically defined distance?). Good to hear there are some companies out there who still have a clue. I know the stickers etc. are an inconsequential thing in the greater scheme of things, (and they probably make plenty enough profit each year to cover a few freebies), but as they say, it's the thought that counts.

I really am impressed with the new SK customer service as well. The other day snapped the end off of a 3/8 breaker bar that was probably close to 50 years old. They don't even make the tool any more. I sent it in, and one week later, I got a brand new breaker bar, no questions asked. Combine that with the superb quality of their tools and I pretty much turn to them for everything now.

Although I have been buying quite a bit of Snap On, SK one of my all time favorite brands. I'm going to hit them up for a sticker for my old Craftsman box!
