Don't know much about the tool boxes, others in here do. Looks like it's a pretty well make box. I like the dividers and what looks like a lift out tray. Name plate is very cool. Hope it's everything it's supposed to be when you get there--180 miles round trip is quite a drive.

SK made that box for a long, long time. That one was originally green and repainted along the way, but it is an older box based on the logo.

I have the same box that was my dads. He bought it after ww2 when he came home and went to work. It was sold with a tool set. They sold same style box up in to the 80's I know cause our local store stocked them and I had my heart set on one when in jr high. Never could save enough money at one time to buy it. I have tried to find out what tools would have been in it but haven't found anything on internet. I remember thinking the set when I was a kid had 1/4 shallow socket set in metal box 3/8 shallow and deep set in metal box. I not sure about 1/2 drive sockets. set of hex keys in a plastic bag. set of rp wrenches in a plastic bag and ball peen hammer. I repainted dads in jr high and used it but drawers didn't work to good. probably only reason he still had it. when I was 2 we moved from Wichita and all his tools where stolen during the move. He had bought a new box and that one was stored up on a shelf.
