I saw this on their site and think I'm going to purchase it. It is the cheapest I've seen anywhere including all the distributors. If you sign up to their SK Club you get free shipping as well. Doesn't even charge me tax in NY.

Looks like a really nice US made breaker bar. Probably a little overkill for a 1/2" drive but there have been times I've really had to crank on my 24" bar so a 30" would just make it that much easier.

I have that bar, it's badass. But I seem to remember getting a much better deal on it for Epsteins. Still I'd happily spend the $60 if I needed to replace it.

It's $70 at Epstiens right now. Maybe you got it during a promotion?

Good bar, got mine at Epsteins back when they first started carrying SK, probably $40-something but don't remember. But a quality tool.

Maybe i'll keep an eye on it at Epstiens for a sale. I def don't need the bar just a really "nice to have" item.

I’d snap that up
I’ve never seen a 1/2” breaker bar that long. I jumped at putting a 24” breaker bar in my pickup for wheel wrench

Is that the SK Club Pro that costs $50 to sign up for, or is there some kind of club that is free to sign up for that got you free shipping? Otherwise shipping was ~$10 for me.

There is a free version of the club. When you go to the home page and scroll down 1/3 of the page just click on the "SK Club" icon. From there you'll see there is a SK Club option as well as a SK Club Pro option.

The SK Club is free and gives you free shipping on orders over $50.

The SK Club Pro costs $49.99/year and you get all sorts of perks.

Well, NY expects you to keep track of that tax "savings" and remit it to them next April, as a "use tax", so start your list of 2019's non-taxable internet purchases now. Cuomo is banning plastic grocery bags here too, probably to avoid having one tied over his head by one of my fellow upstate residents who are sick of his ****....

Weird, still not seeing it anywhere? Anyone happen to have a direct link to the free club signup page?

Maybe its just trying to prevent me from spending more money!

Breaker bars and air tools are dinosaurs. My SO dealer encouraged me to use my long 1/2" as a breaker bar. If it breaks it gets replaced for free. Why buy a breaker?

With that logic, use a 1/4' ratchet. You'll be sitting by idle because the ratchet broke, but hey it'll get replaced

It depends on the individual. I have and use both ratchets and breaker bars in 24” lengths and shorter. I keep a breaker bar in every vehicle to break loose lugnuts if needed. Since I’m not a pro wrench, I also prefer to use a breaker bar to spare my Matco 24” ratchet. Sure, it’s warranteable through the Matco dealer I bought it from, but I don’t want to Chase him down. I keep airtiols in service as a backup to my electric options. Used air tools are cheap so why not?

In the rust belt, an impact can remove a nut or bolt that a breaker bar would snap off. The pounding loosens the rust and saves a lot of time and work repairing a snapped off bolt.

Sure, and I now use ratchets as breakers sometimes since the mechanisms seem to hold up so well.

But sometimes KISS is a good thing. Much like a stick welder, there's fewer moving pieces and less to fail. Maybe someone wants a breaker in the field in muddy conditions. Maybe they want it in their service truck - would you cry more if you had a long ratchet stolen or long breaker bar stolen? In fact thieves may be more likely to simply overlook breaker bars altogether - they're essentially just a stick of solid round.

Anyone order w Chrome/Android successfully?

I just keep getting the spinning wheel and then back to the cart, never an order confirmation page. Sometimes I get an error in a pink/red bar saying a server error occurred and try again later.

Thus far their chat is 100% nonresponsive.

I tried with both mobile and desktop in Chrome

^^ update: I finally got an email from SK and apparently my billing or shipping address entered and bank info were not matching up.

I made the MISTAKE of accepting their suggested address (which did nothing more than add the 4-digit suffix to my zip) and that kept kicking it out.

Moral: don't accept their suggested address (their cart is rather pushy about it)

I think SK should improve their cart - a generic "try again later" message is not helpful in this instance.
