SK Tools At Auto Plus

I walked into my Auto Plus store today to get a new unit bearing and saw that they were starting to put up displays for SK tools and the guy behind the counter reached down and handed me one of their new catalogs that says "SK IS BACK!" on the front. He even said that next Saturday they are going to have a party with hamburgers and hotdogs out front that will be announced on the radio that SK tools are back and being sold at their store and he said that SK is paying for the entire thing. It looks like SK is at least trying to get back into the market place.

They are having a similar deal at our local hardware stores who sell SK. It's great they are getting back to selling tools :)

Never even heard of, let alone seen an "auto plus" anywhere around here.
I feel the same way about this "Menards" place everyone here keeps on talking about. I have never seen nor had I ever heard of one until I saw people post about them here.

Looks like U.S. Auto Plus is owned by Summit Racing. Didn't think there were any around but found two in Wisconsin.

I didnt know SK went away. One of the local hardware stores before I left NY had a display of them at least since 2007. Never paid it much mind myself though, they were a bit pricey, and I prefer old tools anyway.

You and me both! Menards. Fry's. And a whole bunch of other places..., never even seen a picture of half of them, but everyone keeps talkin about it.

Pisses me off when I hear of an awesome deal and the closest store is ~1500 miles away..

I rode by Auto Plus yesterday and they were putting up on their sign outside "Sale all SK hand tools 20% off through Christmas". Needless to say I think I will be stopping by next week.

Can you tell me anything more about Auto Plus? Do they sell to the public, or just sell wholesale to shops and other places?

I did a little googling and it looks like it is a subsidiary of this company:
http://www.uniselectusa.com/index.php

There is a location in Kansas City, MO, but I can't really find anything about it online. Searching the phone number turns up something called Star Automotive Warehouse, which has no website that I can find. I'll have to call one of these days and see if they know anything about SK hand tools.

The third picture I posted in the first post lists all of their locations. They are just a regular run of the mill parts house like a car quest or a advance auto.

Here in Connecticut all of our Acme auto parts stores are now these Auto Parts Plus stores. Same people working there, mostly the same parts, just a different name. I have been doing business with them for many many years.

How about being in Hawaii where we dont even have a Harbor Freight. We have to order everything and shipping kills most of the deals.

It would be nice if SK would push the same promotion for Advance Auto. AA is an SK reseller, but you'd never know that. Not a single SK tool in the store, and the sales guys know nothing about it.
