Does anyone know if SK plans to produce ratcheting wrenches any time soon? I just recently found a local SK dealer and bought a few items. Plan on upgrading my craftsman combo wrenches to SK soon. I was considering replacing my gearwrench:eek: ratchet wrenches with a USA made Armstrong or Proto. I remember seeing on here tha SK was going to be making ratcheting wrenches soon. Anyone have an idea if or when this will go down.

Yes they did. When ideal industries took over from Facom. They want their tools to be 100% USA made. So they stopped with the facom sourced wrenches

Facom and SK parted ways several years before Ideal bought SK. The ratcheting wrenches they sold after the Facom days were made in Taiwan, I believe, and just sourced from one of the ratcheting wrench OEMs.

But, it's correct that they stopped offering them when Ideal bought SK. Everything they offer now is USA made.

If the OP really wants to know, he should email/call SK. They've answered my questions when I contacted them.

The SK G Pro ratcheting wrenches weren't sourced from Facom. they were made by Kabo in Taiwan. Great wrenches:thumbup:

SK was on its own long before their bankruptcy and had nothing to do with Facom. Facom was also bought by Stanley around the same time too.

At last years SEMA show, a very nice gentleman working the SK booth said they were coming out with ratcheting wrenches in 2014 but, they did NOT have any models on display, and I haven't seen anything yet. :dunno:

I heard an estimate that said late 2014 (august/September) for ratcheting wrenches. I can't remember where I saw/heard that though....

I might have a hard time resisting SK ratcheting wrenches. And it would likely save me from spending a ton of money on Gedore ratcheting combos. (or just as likely, having both SK and Gedores in my box. probably Protos, too. :scared: )

I've seen the prototype!! Late 2014 around SEMA. Supposedly going to be stronger than anything on the market, and made in the USA!
