There are two Lista companies. The one here is in Europe. Lista International is the company owned by SBD.

I can't remember everything that's staying USA for now, but ratchets, sockets, and the cushion grip screwdrivers are supposed to be made in PA. Fortunately for me, those are the only tools SK has that I am interested in other than the flare nut wrenches, but I already have all of those I want.

That is Lista AG, which has nothing to do with Lista USA which is a SB&D company.

I completely understand that.
But it has everything to do with SK and GreatStar, which is the topic of this thread.
Again, Lista (yes, i should have specified AG) and SK are now owned by the same parent company.
In this context, my previous comment still stands...there is nothing preventing them from importing SK branded storage or components sourced from either Lista or Geelong. Not assuming they will, but they could.
Im not talking about them importing storage with a Lista badge on them.

It's going to be interesting. I've a real soft spot for their tools, but SK largely wasn't viable before hand Great Star bought them. Something definitely had to give. I guess I'm hopeful that some good marketing gets they exposure needed to bring more back to "Made-in-USA".
I did get a backordered 15", 1/2" drive extension that has made in USA all over it. But who knows if it was old stock.

Another one bites the dust. I haven't been on this site in a while, but I was curious about an SK update. I guess it's just Wright, (most) Proto, Channellock, Klein and the odd tool from the truck. I really liked SK. We're losing it. Since I started working on cars about a decade ago, so many tool lines have disappeared or become indistinguishable junk. We made everything here at one point...

So I received the two ratchets from Zoro. The longer 1/4 ratchet is definitely NOS. Its knurling is deeper, like my other Ideal-era SK ratchets. Also it never sold out on the website so I can assume that means they haven’t cleared the older stock totally out. It has some blemishes in the chrome, just like a lot of my other Ideal-era SK stuff.
The other 1/4 drive, I think was new stock from Great Star. I believe this because it had been out of stock on everyone’s retail sites since just after the acquisition. Also, the chrome is perfect. Zero imperfections which has not been the same for any of my Ideal-era stuff. It’s also clearly stamped USA. The hand ground finish is definitely not nearly as smooth and uniform-esque as the Ideal stuff. The bottom of the ratchet isn’t rounded as it’s more trapezoidal. The head also has two distinct sections - one slightly higher than the other with a taper. I know from experience that these things typically happen with newbies on bench grinders. They haven’t mastered hand positioning and feel, so they either dig in or fail to apply even pressure. Polishing then tries their best to smooth out the imperfections. The ratcheting components were also completely bone dry, which is not something I found with my Ideal-era tools. Even after lube, the mechanism feels slightly more coarse than my other SK DT stuff. The knurling is pretty much just for looks, it is not deep so it feels smooth. So all that makes me think this is a new Great Star era ratchet.
Overall, I’m happy with it if it is. The chrome is great and the other stuff is just from being a new production line with new people. A little Super Lube and she sounds good enough. I’ll buy more SK to finish off my collection.

Wow, that chrome on the bottom ratchet looks almost SnapOn like. I’ll take less knurling for perfect chrome. Let’s hope that they can at least produce good quality ratchets and sockets made in the USA. I’d be pretty happy with that much at least. I never really liked their wrenches anyway.
