Home mechanic here. Manage a fleet of 5 cars plus various small pieces of equipment (mowers, blowers, etc). And help out some family members at times.
I have a lot of Gearwrench. I mean a lot. Never a problem except I bought a 1/2" drive impact socket set and got two 23mm sockets, and zero 22mm sockets. Thought it was funny, I actually had another 22mm socket already so no big deal. But other than that, everything has performed as expected or beyond. Love the GW fine tooth ratchets, flex head ratchets, flex head reversible ratcheting wrenches, and lots of other items.
Also have the SK x-frame set (metric and SAE). It is my go to for anything it fits.
If I won the lottery, I would have a Snap On everything (do they make toilet paper?). If I were rich, I'd get more SK than anything else. If I was comfortable, I'd pick and choose GW and SK, depending on the item. If things were tight, I'd go GW only.
