Might be a little late on this, but I see SK has their website up. No prices, and not a lot of information. I see they kept the design of the old hard-handled screwdrivers. Now to find a distributor....

Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't aware they launched it. I've been waiting anxiously.

I'm kind of disappointed, initially. There's no prices or any way to order. I'd blow a grand right now... Maybe this isn't the way they're gonna do business? Maybe just go thru distributors, or online retailers(?). I always liked SK. Just wondering how they're gonna peddle their wares...

Wow. The online catalog is already well filled out with pics and descriptions. I suppose much of that could be carryover from the old SK - some of the pics look the same to me. But that may be a good thing if the tools will end up being the same, too!

I don't think they will be selling till March. They still have quite a bit of work on the website. I hope they have online dist. That brings on the price war. I was glad they have the old style screwdrivers instead of the Craftsman copies or is it just a stock photo? We'll see soon I guess

As far as I know, SK has a small sheet of their best selling socket sets that they've sent out to their old distributors. They've said that these will be available for ordering next week. I don't know when their entire line will be up and running. Epstein's is going to go ahead and order some of the socket sets. Not sure which one's yet.

Here's my wild *** guess:

Online:
Mscdirect
Grainger
Amazon
Tooltopia
Sears online only

B&M:
Carquest
NAPA
TSC
Coastal Farm and Ranch

I think it would be interesting to see HF pick up SK as their premiere offering. There's no law that HF has to always sell low end Chinese ****. SK could help them develop a top shelf line up.

Yes. This is good news. I would like to see them come out with a brand new fine tooth ratchet.
I am sure I will buy something from the new sk when it is available.

That would be nice. They sold that brand in the past through their catalog

Hey, that would be a great idea for new product launch! Like a revamped design of their 45170 and 42470 ratchets (which are classic rats)... a new RHFT ratchet in shiny new SuperKrome! That would be sweet, I'd buy it.

A store display could win a new generation of new customers for S-K tools... so that they could see and touch the S-K SuperKrome. NAPA would be a good place for that.

Don't know if it will continue to happen but this website was selling SK tools out of Las Vegas. Bought upwards of 20-30 things from them for at work and never had a problem with them.

Looks like they are not offering the TUFF 1 style 45175 ratchets. Bummer!
Maybe that design is a FACOM patent, and S-K lost rights to it when they came back stateside in 2005.

When you click on the "products" tab on the home page, the "wrenches" icon includes an image of an open-end wrench with serrations or teeth on the surface that contacts the fastener similar to Wright tools "wrightgrip" and Snap Ons "flank drive plus". Is this a common feature on open-end wrenches now? I had thought it was a feature of the snap-on and wright wrenches only. I, however, have never been accused of knowing too much...
