Love sketch-up have done may desgins with it, the only issue I have and this goes for all the cad programs I have used is that you need a mouse, they all **** with a touch pad.

I've been using the free version for a few years now and am very happy with it. There's no need for me to go to the Pro version. Of course, I'm not using it to design intricate furniture or complicated machines, so your needs may be different.

Same here, I down loaded it awhile ago, it's kinda hard to use with a touch pad. I found a bunch of tutorial "how to use" videos, but kinda hard to watch them while the Mrs. is watching TV and wanting me to hear what she is saying. Keith

I use PRO at work and used it to design my shed. It was helpful for getting supply counts and working how it would all fit together. And of course how it would look on site.

But other than a layout function, the free version is all you really need. I find it especially helpful to visualize things I'm working on...

Just do some tutorials and it should come quickly.

Matthew.
