Does anyone know which of the two cordless screwdrivers Skil had introduced during the 1980s was the best deal?
The first of these was introduced in late 1982: the model 2000 3.6V (3 cell) cordless screwdriver (with new model of 2305 in early 1985), which resembles a standard drill with its pistol-grip design; its motor turned 130 RPM. It had a locking collet so one could use it as a normal screwdriver. Also available around 1983 was the model 2125 3/8" cordless drill/screwdriver, utilizing the same pistol-grip design as the 2000/2305, but its motor only turns a measly 100 RPM more (230 RPM) than the driver-only version; also available in late '83 was a charging stand to store your drill/driver and bits (to be used with models 2000, 2003, 2125 and 2305 and the 72068 charger).

The other was the model 2105 Skil Twist inline cordless electric screwdriver, introduced during 1985. This had a 2.4V (2 cell) battery, but still turned 130 RPM like the 2000/2305; but also has a more convenient forward/reverse rocker switch (on the 2000/2305 pistol-grip units, there was a separate switch for the forward/reverse motion).
A more powerful version of the 2105 would be introduced in 1988, known as the Skil Super Twist model 2210, with a 3.6V (3 cell) battery. Again, the Skil Twist line had a locking collet for use as a regular screwdriver.

So, again, what would you have picked? The 2000/2305? Or the 2105 Skil Twist? Or even the 2210 Skil Super Twist?
