I'd like a small sander with the vacuum port on it for some small projects in the house. Skil has one at NorthernTool for $20, along with the $5 of $15 coupon it looks like a decent deal. But, there are Very few replacement parts available (online via Skil or other companies). The other sander I'm looking at is a similar B&D 1/4 sheet sander. Again, there are very few parts available for it. So I'm wondering if something failed, like the On/Off switch, would a Dewalt On/Off switch fit the B&D? (Aren't B&D and Dewalt owned by the same company?) Is Skil owned by a larger company that makes a more durable sander that a switch can be ordered for? Are these switches pretty standard & available? Are these just inexpensive tools that can't be serviced?
Thanks,
Ray
