Have a Skilsaw 534, needs repair. 1970s. Can I get it repaired at Skilsaw? Anyone know reliable, independent, repair shop. Ironically, I am 20 miles from Bosch factory in Upstate SC. Love how it performed! Help, and thanks!

High pitched grind, cord patched midway, lock-unlock button on grip missing. Don't care about cosmetics, just want to safely enjoy using it again!

I don't know what your skillset is but, I had a worm drive saw of about the same vintage. I was able to replace a couple bearings and change the lubricant myself with minimal internet research. Maybe give it a try. Welcome to GJ as well!

doubtful you'll be able to source many parts other than bearings .even more doubtful Skil will look at it. the cord can be made up easily enough. the button might be an issue .
the high pitched grind sounds like it could be bearing(s)

You might try looking at this thread for pointers. The author is great at restoring old Skilsaws
