Hi, i have a skilsaw 825 i finally got back together, yet after releasing the trigger the saw comes to a quick stop and it sounds almost metallic in its grinding. Possibly bearings? I dont see the saw blade rubbing.

Its just a regular Skilsaw 825 8-1/4 inch saw. I wish there were diagrams and such for this saw, but I cannot find anything on point for this, just other similar saws like the 77, or newer 825s.

Not sure which bearings to replace, or if all is the best bet. I had a rough time getting one of the bearings back in, which probably is the issue here.

I suppose this is more of a rant than a question about which bearings to use, but any help is appreciated.

I did, I used the Skilsaw brand lubricant meant for worm drive. Im thinking more and more that when I dissasembled the unit last that i dented one of the sealed bearings. Finding the exact ones i need to replace is tough!

If anyone is reading this in the future, Im most likely going to order from skil these parts from this manual

parts im looking to replace are:
#25 BALLBEARING(2) Part #24748
#11 BALLBEARING #17875
only because i think i may have tapped them and damaged them. will know once i reopen the saw, drain the oil and figure it out firsthand.
