Skim coat then Polyurea?

I have a more prep work to do. Shot blasted my garage floor and have some pitted areas and a few uneven spots. Instead of trying to patch all the pitted areas with epoxy patch I was thinking to skim coat with Ardex and let dry before using Polyurea.

Has anyone tried this? Thinking it would produce a smoother end result when all is done. Any special prep after the Ardex before it can accept Polyurea? I don't want to use epoxy due to the UV and my garage faces west.

What I did was use epoxy and polyurea repair products prior to a thicker build epoxy, then colored olyurea and clear polyurea. I didn't trust using any cementitious product under my coating. I'm not stating that as "gospel," but you'd need to grind the cured Ardex just as I did the repairs prior to coating.

Thank you! This helps as it had been suggested to use epoxy patch or epoxy with sand to fill the pitted areas. I just wanted to hear if anyone had actually tried Ardex in this situation and if any extra prep was needed after Ardex.

I already shot blasted and think I will just make a slurry of epoxy patch and fill in the areas.

Thank you!

I believe we have spoken on the phone too. If not my advice may be out of context.

Polyurea does not fill well at all. 100% solids should never be put down straight to concrete without a primer. If you had massive damage I would have suggested a WB primer followed by 100% solids.

You have..... "aggressive profiling" :) . Using a high solids as a primer is a great option. Just fill any big issues first -- and it did not sound like there was much of that
