So I'm building this dry cut saw and need a couple of pulleys to drive it. My 3hp motor has a 1-1/8" shaft (1/4" keyway) and she turns 1750 RPM. in order not to increase the blade RPM, I need the smallest Dia. pulley on the motor. I figure a gearbelt type can be smaller Dia. than a V belt type.
My shaft that will drive the blade will be 3/4". I want it to be as big as I can get, without being large enough to exceed the height of the pillow block bearing that the shaft utilizes. Or at least not by much. The idea is to lower the RPMs a bit if possible.
Now my question. Where to find these puppies? The sites I've found are like reading Chinese. Also I want to order them used or close out on line from ebay or the like to save money.
Any help is appreciated
