Gotcha!!
Gotcha!!

These guys seem to think SK will turn it around:
http://blog.toolsource.com/index.ph...is-your-source-for-sk-hand-tools-made-in-usa/

Hopefully they're right. SK could do a few simple things to inspire confidence such as update their website, advertise in a few trade magazines, and improve product availability at online vendors such as tooltopia. There's the annual ISN Tool Expo in Florida this weekend. If SK has a large prescence, that's a good sign. If they only have a small display or pass on the show, that could also be an omen. However, there's lots of SK stuff still available in the secondary market like Ebay so, there's nothing to worry about in the near future.![]()
Maybe you're having internet problems.
It comes up for me:

However it looks like they haven't touched it for years. "New 2008 catalog avail"??

You are trully evil...
Has anyone called their customer service number? Did they answer? Did you ask them if they were having a going out of business sale?

Gotcha!!![]()

SK's warranty mailbox (phone) is full and the customer service extension is disconnected.
If they don't go out of business (aka, are not in the process), aren't you hurting their business by doing this?
With the migration of Craftsman to overseas product, I think now is the time SK can fill that huge niche for USA quality handtools without tool truck pricing. I really hope they find a way to turn it around because when you get a quality piece from them, it is really a very nice tool. I have some SK stuff from 15-20 years ago and some of those pieces are my favorites.
Amen to that!![]()
What migration are we talking about, exactly?

It's easy for us to sit on the sidelines and watch. Many of us own SK tools. Some have been around for years. Ask yourself, what have I done to help SK survive? When was the last time I bought a new SK tool from a tool dealer or a real store? Harry Epstein doesn't count and neither does any other clearance or closeout deal. It may be too late even if everyone of us went out and bought SK tools right now. The bottom line is that no one really knows what's going on with SK, except SK, and they don't seem to be telling anyone.![]()

The worst thing is that S-K is not the only tool company being sucked in to this flawed pricing model.

Who else would you say this is happening to?
