Anyone using skylights on their garage? I am thinking about using 4 Velux 304's which measure about 30x38. Two vented, Two non vented. Are the results worth the cost? I am also wondering if anyone is using them with the roof Trusses which will be at 16 on center.

Thanks,

RK

Rob, you're on the right track!

When I built the garage at our old place, I put in 2 large 'bubble' type skylights into the Western side of the roof. They were great for letting afternoon light into the garage, and didn't leak............for about 10 years that is.
If you go with high quality Velux (or other) skylights you'll be just fine, vented or not.
We don't have any skylights in our current garage, but don't really need them due to a large window and doorwall
We did put 2 of the 14" tube-type skylights in the house, and they are great.
