Skyway Ratchet

I recently got this ratchet in a lot that I won on ebay. It is a 1/4" drive ratchet and is stamped "Skyway". If I didn't know better, I would swear it is a custom job. I haven't came up with much in the way of information on GJ or Google. Has anyone seen one of these before or have any information on it?

Oddly there is a Skyway Tools in California, but they don't seem to sell tools branded Skyway.

Cool find. ^ That could be Skyway Precision Tools. I don't know much about them but if you look around you will see their preset torque socket drivers and torque wrenches.

They don't sell "Skyway" tools, but they do sell name brand stuff like SK, Gearwrench, Irwin, Titan, ingersoll Rand, CP, ATD and more, for pretty good prices.

It is barely decent. It is smooth but has lots of back drag and a single pawl that only engages one tooth. It is a 24 tooth design. I will take it back apart tomorrow and get some pics of the internals while I have it apart looking for ways to reduce the back drag.

Funny, that's how I felt about the 1/2" Armstrong ratchet I bought last year. I ended up so disappointed I gave it to a good friend of mine who's budget doesn't allow for new tools. He loves it
