Hello, I am wonder what is common to backfill around an above grade slab. Would you use dirt, gravel, or concrete to keep it from washing out?

i would put in some dirt and pack it good with a slope away from the slab . so if water its it it can run down and away . also down spout on them gutter ends please to get water away also . not just the chunk of rock / concrete this lets it splash back and get places you do not want the water .

Rock is nice because you just spray it a couple times a year. Don't have to try to mow up next to the building. Keep it at least 4" from the bottom of the tin, more is better.
