slab cost in S. Tx

I did a slab cost search of the forum and found most replies were from the N.E. & Mid West. Anyone have a ball park figure ($psf) for a garage slab in S. TX including forming and finishing? Level elevation, easy access, no plumbing.

I'm planning on a 24x24 garage attached to an existing 40x12 shop also on slab. Toy box for an old man and his cars.

It's been a while since I priced a slab here but I would expect to find someone in this area who would do it for around $3000 maybe less, if you've lived here long you know how to find the right guys for these simple jobs, you just got to make sure you string the money out so the job gets done. Too much up front late in the week and all you get is a party out of it. Start them on a Monday and tell them it has to be done by next weekend, save a little money for the inspector too if you have to deal with them.

My bid for concrete in central TX for a 25x30 was $5700, but that included a perimeter beam.

Thanks for the replies y'all. Sounds like $5-$7 psf. I'm also going to need a driveway and an apron. I guess those might be a little less expensive?

flat work for house when we priced out this summer was about $3/sq ft, for your drive etc. I would suspect when having more basic work like you're doing it would be a hair cheaper than when going through a builder like us..

Flat work driveway for the neighbors house 2 years ago was $5.50/ft. YMMV.

$7psf for foundation and $4 psf for flat work about six months ago. Any type of elevation from front to back will bring the price up.

When I had my 40x60 shop poured it was $9,000. That is 2,400 square feet at 4" thick with a 12"x12" footing all the way around. That also included plumbing stubbed out for a full bath with shower, toilet, and sink. I believe that comes out to $3.75 per square foot. I am located in NE Arkansas.
