I know there are so many posts about radiant slab heating, and reading all of it, gave me enough info to be dangerous.
I'm in need of about a 10kw electric boiler(have 50amp 220 available) in MN, about 900 sqf spray foamed insul., 3 loops of 275 ft of 1/2" pex. No idea how to calc flow but have a Taco 007 circ pump.
I used a super cheap rheem rte-9 for 3 years- just need to keep garage about 40 deg. But now it stopped working. It runs for a few minutes and no longer heats despite flow still sensing and therm therm calling for heat. Overheat switch not tripped. All seems normal but no heat. If U turn off/on it works again for a few minutes then stops again.
So Im looking for an actual small boiler instead of a cheap instant on water heater.
Any advice welcome!!
