Hi everyone,

Long time lurker and occasional poster here.

I've been pondering a lift again and the MaxJax is on the short list. My question is I've got a slab with no relief cuts and no cracks, Its got a 12" thickened edge and its at least 4-3/4" thick at the test hole I drilled near the center, but I've got no idea if its reinforced or what the PSI rating is. Does the lack of cracking with no relief cuts offer a hint as to the reinforcement or the PSI rating? A panoramic photo is attached. its a pretty small space, about 18' x 18'.

Thanks everyone.

Not really. It isn’t shocking that an 18 x 18 slab wouldn’t have any shrinkage cracks but it does suggest that the concrete wasn’t placed with a high slump and therefor is more likely to have achieved its original design strength.

If you are really concerned there are instruments that can detect the presence of rebar and several tests that can provide varying degrees of accuracy with regard to compressive strength.
