My living-room floor is flat and level.

Checked the garage floor with a laser level a while back. Floor level at garage door is about 3in lower than the house end. Garage is about 25ft deep.

Sure ya can. If you have a flat sheet of glass laying on the floor it's flat & level, if you pick up one side it's flat & sloped.

It's a big slab. It's actually round you just can't see due to the size

Sure, the slab is 4" parallel to the earth's average radius of 3,958.8 miles. Quite the arc, just can't get back far enough to perceive the shape.

Maybe it depends where you live? I live in a cold climate and if the garage floor sloped to the door, there is a chance the water could freeze and prevent the door from opening.

depends on where you live, (snow, rain) me i would want flat with center drain and a foot stem wall around edge

Take long enough to decide what to have for supper and you get to have cereal.

My house slab slopes to the center of the parking space under each car so the slop and mess can melt and run to the center under them making as little mess as possible.

The shop is "flat" 5' in from the walls to allow space to put pallet racking and *treasures*. The back 25' is "flat" where the fab area is. The rest in sloped to the center drain enough that water runs to it. It gets used as I bring my feeding tractor and skid loader in daily and they get all kinds of wetness on them in the winter. No way I'd want that **** (haha literally sometimes) going towards the doors or walls.
