I've seen the boxes put out by Montezuma and extreme tools, I was wondering if anyone other than mastergrip puts out a cheaper alternative.
I'm not going to be traveling with it its going to sit on my workbench. That way i can keep my most used stuff within arms reach.

What's wrong with Mastergrip? Right on the box say it's was licensed to use the design from Montezuma.Good quality for the money.

I bought a 26" from ebay for $164.10 Nice addition to my Montezuma bottom boxes (Two 36" ) I use the slant box on a 20 year old husky 40 inch box, and it leaves some work space for my tire machine stuff. Put all my odds, and end type tools in it. Use it a whole lot too.

They're extremely useful for what they were designed for. Most every farm truck around has one or two mounted on it. I had one for a while and loved it, however the constant banging around of the wrenches from side to side on the pegs drove me nuts. I've since went back to a road chest style box.

Everyone I ever seen had to be modified, pegs moved or removed, magnet bars ect to try hold more and be organised .
It Not a bad idea but it not as practical as would think, like you I think decent road chest or even pickup storage box modified can be better .
