Which do you recommend and why? Sliding or a panel door.

I live out in the country. Mice are a problem. Not confident a regular garage door would prevent those buggers from getting in. I know a slider diffidently will let them in.

Looking at installing 2 doors a 12wx12h and a 10w10h.

I won't be needing to heating the whole building (it will have a 2' condensation blanket at r7 (here in Washington). I will use local heating when I want it.

Has anybody had to make the choice between a barn sliding door vs a traditional residential style door for their workshop?

Sliding door is problematic due to sealing issues, on a heated building.

They also can be a problem with heavy snowfall.

What's your location Tiny?

Those size doors are no problem for overhead rolling steel or panel door.

No way in hell would I want a slider door. My grandpa's barn with sliding doors is full of "critters" ranging from mice and rats to skunks and possums.
