I have a wooden sliding gate for my patio deck

I built the deck and gate last year, and want to (need to) re-work on the sliding gate

I'm looking for very low profile casters, preferably in plastic (to mount on the bottom of the gate, to make opening an closing it easier)

Any ideas or suggestions?

I saw this and maybe could mount two directly to the deck and have the gate roll on top?

So far, these are on my top list from Amazon.....but I am looking for something with a lower profile

a lot depends on how smooth the running surface is
a small wheel needs a smooth surface

I have the pictured casters above on the baby gate in my living room. The gate is across the 5' wide door way from the living room to the dining room. They work great. I bought them at Lowe's. They were reasonably priced.

I would to find a small 1" or smaller caster, fixed plate, rubber or plastic wheel, galvanized metal bracket

The gate is small and lightweight, maybe 30 to 40 pounds total

With two casters, one on each end, should be able to easily roll and move the gate
