Believe it or not, Snap-on will fix this gun under the flat rate repair program. This customer will get back an impact that looks brand new for $90.

Well its only "slightly" used, the $90 sounds like a good deal. It looks to have been dropped, though.

I think there are definitely times that the flat rate repair service is a real bargain; what I like is that the tool CAN get repaired and it is typically, a 1/3 of the cost of new... I think that is reasonable. While the initial price on the tools is high; the service and flat rate is great to have.

Run over by a loader in a wrecking yard. The gun is about 3 years old. It has had a hard life.

I could give the guy that owns this impact a ball bearing and a plastic fork and I swear he could figure out a way to damage the ball bearing in about 5 minutes.

Chad, that's good to know.

I have one of those guns, and I absolutely LOVE it. If (and when) it dies, I guess I'll be sending it in for repair now that I know it's available for such a reasonable price.

Thx.

All Snap-on power tools are backed by a flat rate repair program after the warranty expires.

I will say people think its hard to get tools that bad but depeding what you do you can really beat up your tools big time. Its not hard to accidently damage tools and they look like that. We have had a aucome expirence with there flat rate program, its saved us alot of moeny.

my guys love the flat rate repair. when they break an impact in half ( freightliner ran over it twice) it only cost 109 to get it fixed. they sent a new gun with a couple of used screws in the back and that was it... it is still going a year later.

drop lights also fall under the flat rate repair category.

Good for the guy who owns the gun! I doubt snap-on is losing any money on it seeing as snap on electrical tools are average at best, but cost as much (or more) as the top shelf stuff.

Please give me an example of what you consider to be a top-shelf 1/2 drive cordless impact?

That guy got a sweet deal. I put together a side by side (I had to keep scrolling up and down to compare them).

So do they salvage what they can from the guts normally or are the insides all new... Sometimes the definition of rebuilt varies... Thats a good deal.

Is there a way to send a tool in directly to Snap-On and skip your dealer? My dealer keeps driving by and not stopping.... refusing to warranty stuff. I would rather just bypass him all together and get stuff fixed on my own! Any info?
