My Lady and I recently bought our first house. We like the city (just outside it anyways), so finding a decent garage wasn't too likely. Well, through an unfortunate chain of events, this place came on the market and we swooped it up. The guy before us ran a full service mechanics shop and left some helpful things behind.

The garage measures 30x33 with a 6 car cement pad in front and a 3 car asphalt pad along the south side.

It has heat, a/c, and a full attic. They left a ton of shelving, some assembled, some not. Plus, the big kicker for me was all the copper air lines with drops. It needs some scrubbing, but I'm optimistic it'll come around.

This is my 1st toy for it.

It's a 5hp 80 gal C-Aire. It puts out 22.5 cfm so hopefully I don't outrun too much. Plus, it's made right here in MN. I really dig that. Next to it you can see a pile of Model A that will have it's own garage in the back...Maybe

Model A garage prospect.

The shed's 8x10 or maybe 12. I have to measure it. Just need to add a roll up door and I'm golden.:bounce:

Here's another garage dweller. My '61 Bird. I just woke it up after sitting in field for a 1/4 century and been driving the hell out of it. I don't have a pic, but on the other side of the house is the original single stall that it'll stay in during the cold months or when I'm painting other projects.

Good find! Put in a little elbow grease and it will look real nice. It can be hard to find a house with a big garage so you lucked out - what part of the Cities are you in?

Man, that's a great find. You got water, air lines, heat, A/C, storage and depth! What more could you ask for other than the previous owner leaving a lift behind. You've got a clean canvas there Slim, have fun making it your own! Yeah, I'm jealous!

Nice. Those C-aire compressors are nice... I was admiring the one at the tool store the other day.

I'm pretty pumped about the C-Aire. I was originally looking at a Cast Air, but this came up almost new for fraction of the price.

I really lucked out on the house. In Bloomington here, you got 1000 sq ft limit. I'm well past that since the city forgot to go after the guy who built the big garage. He was suppose to tear down the single stall attached to the house but apparently never got around to it. I have a double lot and funniest part is my house is less than 1000 sq ft. We'll upgrade to a different house in time, but for now this will work well.
