I’m trying to find a slip on style hammer holder that can be slipped over your pants or belt similar to this but I’m not having any luck.

This one has a nut welded to it for a screwdriver to go in that was done after the fact.

Different style, but Occidental makes a great clip-on hammer holder (number 5040): www.amazon.com/dp/B000V2J2YC

I did see that one but I’m trying to find one with just the metal wire.

I was also going to suggest the toughbuilt one. They also have a soft one LINK That is nice when you are crawling around in attics cramp places. Laying/falling on those hammer loops *****.

I run a sheetmetal shop so there is no crawling or climbing going on, just standing at tables and machines.

I just saw the ones your looking for last week. It was probably on ebay. You could buy 2, 5, 10 up to a thousand I think. It might have been Amazon or some other site. I'll try and find it.

They were called EZ hook. I have one but the coating is orange. I think home depot or ace hardware used to sell them.
Not much help but at least you have a name to start with.

Here is the closest one yet. :D Yes it's Australia but it's a close match.

Make your own from heavy wire like the hanger type but heavier. Turn the ends up to the hammer side and add a spot of solder to eliminate the sharp end. My father made my first one for me when I started working for him in 1960. He made his first in 1940. I'm pretty sure someone else showed him.

Look at Husky 1001 075 712 at HD.

Advertised for an air gun but slips on belt or pocket and fits a claw hammer.

I sure don't want to fall on it 520d4a47b1758a4918d0463782295d48.jpg

These wire type would be very uncomfortable worn for long periods of time.
They will dig into your side from the weight of a hammer.
A tunnel loop or slotted leather style would be better if ergonomics matter.
