Slippery Garage Concrete Floor

Greeting,
I am new to the Garage Journal, so this may have been answered before. The concrete in my mom's garage is really slick with the smallest amount of water - it's like ice. It is only in the back section of the garage near the door, not the entire garage. The house is only about 10 years old and has been like this since day one. What is the best way to take that glaze off it and make it more like normal concrete?

Before you coat it, you'd better remove the "glaze" you mention either mechanically (grinding, shot peen, etc) or chemically (etcher). If you go through the trouble of skimming the glaze off of it, you might as well coat it with epoxy. Definitely use some anti-slip for a mom's garage.
