Split Circuit/Switch Florescent Lights

Can someone tell me if I can split these lights up? I want to be able to turn on half the lights, or one bulb in each lamp, and then, if I want more light, be able to flip a second switch and double the amount of light.

Here is the manufacturer link.

Thanks for the input.

I guess you could if you installed 2 ballasts? That ballast doesnt look like you can split it?It doesnt look like you can put 2 power sources to it.Ive usually had lights with 4 bulbs that i have used 2 ballasts and 2 switches.

ok, the ballast is a sylvania QTP 54t5ho/UNV PSN It looks like you can't split it.

I already have put my blocking up for the lights and I just need 8 lamps with 2 bulbs in each fixture for a total of 16 lights. It looks like I can go with a 49161 QTP 4x54T5HO/UNV PSN HT W and just use two lamps.

Does this seem like the right thing to do rather than start my design over?

To be honest with you.You are way better off going with 2 seperate ballasts and have them run off seperate switches.I have a few rooms at work that have 4 light fixtures and you can switch from 4-2 with 2 switches. If one ballast goes out its cheaper to replace a 2 bulb ballasts.Im sure those 4 ballast switchable arent cheap and they will still burn out.
