Got this a couple weeks ago from a guy that bought it at an auction last year to flip. There was a set of collets and other parts that got separated from it.
The auction was in the fall in Buffalo, N,Y. Anyone with any further info let me know. Thanks Tom
It only came with one of the set of nine. I think they are OEM. 3 7/8" long.

Do you have any clue to what the collet size is? There are a lot of different tapers, lengths, and thread sizes.

Collet # 52sc or 52s&c. Thread size .795x20. Length from end to widest point 3.688. Head dia. 1.0625.
I know I can special order from Hardinge but at $675.00 each that isn’t going to happen. Looking for used or the set that was with the lathe before the auction.

Makes me want to cry when I go to an auction and see tooling and/or parts for a machine in the wrong box. I've pointed it out to the auction staff and they say, "It is what it is. Bid on what you want and don't bother us with details."

Having said that, my partners and I have gotten some screaming deals by recognizing those key parts and tooling and buying them before the machine they go with comes up for bid. If you've already got all the good bits for cheap, the bare machine should be worth way more to you than the guy buying an awkward cast iron door stop.

This is one of the reasons I avoid auctions. Well, that and an inability to keep it in my pants, so to speak.

I like that little lathe, it is pretty cool.
