I've been a lurker here for many years, but figured it was about time to start showing my little 20x22 attached work in progress. It's nothing compared to the works of art some of you have.

I don't have pictures of the whole process but here are a few shots showing the current situation.

My dreams for the space are the simplistic organization style of Dubber, with a few of the detailing touches from Ricks double

First thing to address, the lighting. It had 1 small overhead light, and the 2 in the opener.

Short trip to HD, and 8 lights later I can finally see what I'm doing in there. Or in this case, the mess all around.

Here's a few quick shots showing the still wildly disorganized situation as it is today.
I have added the small heater which was fantastic last winter. I also just installed those cabinets in June. Though they are buried already as I am moving things around.

And my new Husky tool cart (still empty though)

Side note; is this floor salvageable with some patch or is it too far gone?

Same question for the asphalt

Lights made a big difference. The asphalt has some pretty good alligator cracking, which in most cases means base issues or water damage. Sealant will help some or maybe slow down the deterioration. Anything you can do to reduce water absorption into the cracks.

Welcome!

The concrete can probably be patched. But it needs to be cleaned good first, probably by chipping to good clean concrete. A lot of work, but if it has salt damage, you need to get he salt off of it before you try to patch it. There are a lot of good concrete patch materials available.

We plan on replacing the driveway next year, but the current state really drives me crazy especially when I am detailing the cars and get gravel in my knees.

Would a sealant improve it much or would it just make it look worse?
