Slow twin post lift

My twin post lift goes great but it is slow coming down. It incorporates a hydraulic ram on one side pushing a flat chain. On the tower that has the ram, the chain goes over a roller at the top down to a roller at the bottom. Across the floor to another roller up the tower to another roller down to the lift arm. That side is slow to come down. If you don’t watch it there is a chance that the car could come off sideways. It only acts up in cold weather. Any ideas?

what fluid is in the system ?

i had a super slow lift before i got insulation and dedicated heat . i swapped the std hydro oil for ultra low temp oil and now she is a rocket ship . . . have to watch how fast i bring it down .

the oil when cold can get to thick and slow up the system . i do not recommend everyone do the oil swap like i did . take this info and make your own choice .
