Good day. Been lurking for a few months collecting ideas and enjoying everyone's caves! There are some crazy shops and ideas on here! I did a few improvements (built a workbench, put in some shelves along a wall, then added a loft area above the garage door for more storage) and although its not quite finished I thought I would post a few photos of my own... For everyone of us that has small spaces... Hopefully the photos show up

Hey thanks guys... Not having a lot of space to work with I basically have about 16" to the ceiling on that shelf, but it works great for the hockey equipment (gets aired out when the door is open while I'm working in there too:thumbup:) and also my snowboard and kitesurfing gear.

Dan,

What is the measurement from the top of that white shelf to the ceiling or better yet what clearence did you need above the track to clear the arc of the door ?

Hey Tech guy,

The white shelf with the blue bins is 17" from the ceiling, but the photo is deceptive because it is inside the track only 12" deep from the wall so there is no interference with the door(2" from shelf to edge of door while open), as far as the shelf with the hockey bag I manually held the door open at its arc and it was 22" from the ceiling so I gave a couple of inches clearance. No issues with the door on either shelf.

Looks good, your setup over the door is similar to mine in my small garage too

Thanks UN4GTBL, while I was still in the planning phase, and lurking this site and looking for ideas, I remember coming across your garage, looks great too!
I'm still finishing off a few things, painting the ceiling and still deciding what to do for the floor. I will put a few more photos up once its complete... and organized:bounce:
