Hi all,
New to this forum and am finding it very helpful in a lot of ways, and really appreciate all the knowledge being shared here. I have a question if I may.
Lowe's has a Bostitch 6 gallon pancake compressor with 3 nail tools for $249.
HD has a similar one from Porter-Cable for $275. Is one better than the other? My needs would be only minor nailing (craft type), tire inflating, winterizing the pool, etc., no heavy use. Any reason to go bigger, or other brands that might be better? Thanks for any informed opinions.
Carl

I have a Craftsman pancake compressor, which is the same thing as the PC from Depot. There has seldom been a tool that I have owned that has taken more abuse. Actually with almost any compressor the biggest disappointment is when you try to use it for tasks that it was never designed for but if you use it for what you are stating, you will be just fine with either unit. I am always looking at those kits from Depot or Lowes and I'm sure I'll buy one or the other when mine finally does quit simply because I can ebay the air tools and end up with a free compressor.
