Good Evening,
My wife came home with this little level last week. I've been trying to figure it out and wonder if anyone here might know what type/name of level it is. It's about the size of modern string levels but I can't see that application. The bottom is very flat. Maybe it's just a pocket level, but it's pretty cool IMHO. The only mark is the number 36 on each side of the bubble.

Cheers

Poking around on the web "ANTIQUE L L DAVIS POCKET LEVEL" were the only ones I found with those round ball type handles. Most have a system to clamp to a straight edge or square though.

Nice little level.

It's not a line level, it's a Davis Pocket level #36. I collect old levels, and if you want to sell this one let me know.
