I can see no markings on it. It has what might have been a red sticker, or a red stripe on front. It weighs just under 17 pounds. The anvil part is 3x5 and oal is 11''

It has an intersting key hole on the back.

It was mounted on a small board. I was disappointed to see it is hollow.

Any idea of maker?

The closest thing I could find to it is this combo thing. Says it's a Smith Tools. I say it looks like this because of the web on the side.

Then there's this thing on ebay with the same web. And it's hollow like mine. I'm wondering if the key hole on mine was for the vise?

Yeah, you have half of an old vise/anvil combo.

Not a very good vise and certainly not a very good anvil at all. But novel at the time. Lots of different manufacturers I suppose. I have this one in my collection, a Prentiss 622.
