Small Blind/Pilot Bearing Pullers

I recently had to remove the bearings out of an upper Delta bandsaw wheel. I had to resort to more crude methods of getting it out which wound up damaging the bearings. It wasn't a big deal as I was replacing them anyway but I like to have the proper tools for the job. So I started looking at pullers specifically for blind/pilot type bearings.

I ran across two main styles. See attached pics. Other than the working ID size range, I'm wondering what the comparisons are for these two different style pullers. Collet vs Jaws. Also there are hammer slide vs yolk / screw.

Opinions? Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

You might want to try the "hotdog bun" method for pilot bearings. Google it or watch the youtube video.

I have the collet type with slide hammer and several forcing screw types. Unfortunately like so much we discuss here a variety is helpful because there is no one size fits all.

As expensive and rarely used as they are I would just rent them at AutoZone for free after deposit return.

I have the collet style big OTC set and snap on, can't remember the last time I couldn't get something, or even considered getting out the jaw kind.

Those SKF ones look really nice.

I have both in Snap-On like in your pictures. I had to pull a small bearing in a drill and the one on the left was too big. The collet style worked great.

Thanks, I think I'll go the collet direction first.
