New to the forum, hello everyone!
I just recently bought a home, and while the garage is listed as a 3 car, it is more realistically a two and a half car garage. I do want to squeeze 3 cars in it which doesn't leave me with a whole lot of space for "activities."
I'm looking for some novel ways to save floor space and still have a functional work area. I've seen things like folding work benches which seems like a great idea.
There are some limitations I have to work with. Ceiling height is low and I have no room to build up because I have no rafters. It is a town house and the main floor of my house is above my garage. This also prohibits me from expanding my garage in any direction because my neighbors garage is attached to mine on either side.
I can, of course, remove a car from my garage while I have to work on things, but I also have no driveway. My garage opens up into a communal lane way that I cannot block. I can park my car on the street temporarily while I do work.
Basically I'm trying to have a functional shop in a crowded and busy city.
I'd like to get some ideas from you guys and please post pictures/links to threads if you've tackled a similar project.
Thanks!
