Buy any case you want. Uncle Sams Retail has a empty first aid kit for $10, add your own foam and cut it to fit your tools. Easiest and cheapest way to do it.

I don't know what you mean by Uncle Sams retail. A website for government surplus sale?

Every First aid kit I have seen is too thick or deep for my use. 1/2" internal space like the link is plenty

Getting closer, still a little too thick but if I go with this I can have a couple layers of tools.

I found an ASUS EEE pc hard case that is also close but has some strap to prevent opening 180 degrees, maybe a modification is in order.

Sure like to find the supplier of boxes to Flowler, Starrett etc...
