Small concrete problem

My slab was poured 3 weeks ago. It's 6" thick with 3500psi fiber and wire mesh. It was power trowelled and today if found this at the rear entry door. Should I be concerned and what can the concrete guy do if anything to fill this. It's about a 4" long piece that seems to have broken up.

what does it look like under the door ? does it **** up to a concrete floor without an expansion strip ?

That concrete butts up to the door frame. It's a pole barn.

Looks like they may have worked it too hard and brought too much cream to the top. Have you called your concrete guy ?

Not yet, I was waiting to see what you guys think before calling him.

Exactly. However it may just be this edge. The edges, we find, are the weakest portions of a garage floor. Our grinder creates a ton more dust when working the perimeter of a garage floor.

That often is the result of adding too much water while working the finishing. The creme doesn't cure with the strength less diluted creme would harden with.

If your aim is to epoxy your floor, I'd give it awhile and see if any other areas pop up. You might tap around that area and see if you hear any "hollows." You might just have a couple areas you can float with some self-leveling material and never know its was there.

The builder came over yesterday and took photo's to send to the concrete guy. We'll see what he has to say next week. It looks fine everywhere else so hopefully this is all I have to deal with. I don't plan on epoxy but do plan on applying HD37 densifier then HD40 sealer to it. Like I said, I'll find out what the concrete guy says next week.

Is the gray area at bottom of door the door sill or am I seeing a concrete stem wall?

That gray area at the bottom of the door is the rubber weather seal
